BRAVO CELTIC! There is something beautiful about the club holding back £35,000 of ticket money to pay for the criminal damage caused by sevvies at Celtic Park . Anyone who saw pictures of the wrecked toilets would have been absolutely appalled at the actions of a group of fans who have become emboldened since the original club's demise in 2012. Honestly is it not enough they destroy Celtic property, but their own club actually doesn't stump up for the damage either! As far as I understand it there are certain agreements between Celtic and Rangers that state the away club must pay up for damage if it is caused by their own fans. Guess that died with the old Rangers eh?
Of course some argue that sevco possibly would have paid up were they in a position to do so. It's no secret they have a few problems with cash flow at the moment so can we assume that is the reason they didn't settle the bill? Hmm not for a moment am I convinced by this argument. Have a look at the loan signings currently trudging through the door at Ibrox then tell me sevco won't be paying a portion of these guys wages. Money that should have went to our club. Had sevco been honest with Celtic and told them the truth that they cannot pay the bill, perhaps they would have been lenient. Come to an agreement for sevco to pay the balance up weekly maybe? Hey we're the biggest club in Scotland, if we can't cut little sevco a break then what's it all for eh? Sevco probably thought they could get away with not paying and "soft" Celtic would just suck it up. Not on your life bears!
The Hoops response in withholding the ticket money was absolutely spot on and done with minimum fuss. Only when contacted for comment on the matter did they respond by admitting they have tried unsuccessfully to get the owed cash several times. Not once before this event did we release inflammatory statements calling sevco out and compromising our own behaviour. Compare and contrast with that lot across the city who put out statements like there's no tomorrow. Ironic really when you consider that pretty soon the day might come when sevco find themselves staring down the barrel of a gun and facing their last day! Even when the matter was dealt with and put to bed they couldn't resist trying to act all billy big boots and their actions should surely see Celtic stretch their muscles and do something about their lies.
In a move which the media has described as "tit for tat" sevco have claimed that Celtic fans damaged areas of Ibrox and that they expect the bill to be settled. How absolutely pathetic! What petty, small minded and absolute showers of snide they must have masquerading as leaders in that boardroom! Just who do they think they are? Have they produced evidence of this damage? Why has no mention of it been made until now? We are talking about media men who would crawl over broken glass with their flies unzipped to find a negative Celtic story. So again I repeat: Why has this not been mentioned before now? Short answer is they are liars, pure and simple and Celtic should take these unfounded allegations very seriously indeed. Smearing the good name of other fans is getting a little bit of a habit for this mob isn't it? Just ask Hibs fans all about that.
Let's not beat about the bush here, sevco and their shameless fans are the direct result of everyone turning a blind eye to their behaviour. No one does sevco apologist quite like our MSM do they? Jim Traynor is in charge of PR over at Ibrox and a more spiteful man you will never meet. Jim has fully bought into the victim myth that has festered around sevco. He may even have been responsible for it's birth. Everything they do over there is an extension of his bullying personality. What really grates is the part that our SFA play in this debacle. It beggars belief that sevco is allowed to get away with absolute MURDER!! Whether it's their fans singing about killing Catholics or the criminal boardroom behaviour, it will be a cold day in hell before we get a condemning statement from the supposed leaders of our game. Turning a blind even extends onto the park because apparently punching someone on live TV is a shoe in for a not proven verdict. Something must be done before their behavior goes further than a smear campaign. By then it really will be too late to stop them.

DeleteAbsolutely agree that something needs to be done about this appalling club and its hideous support. Singing about killing Muslims would bring the roof down on them as it would rightly be condemned by every right thinking person. But sing about killing Catholics barely raises an eyebrow in this bigoted little country. The SFA hierarchy and politicians turn their back and don't want to know. Celtic fans should mount a massive campaign to highlight and embarrass these people at every turn, exposing their twisted sectarian filth.
