Generous Hoops Fan Feeds Hungry Horse

Celtic fans are known for their generous and giving nature the world over but this latest act of kindness will have you reaching for the tissue box. A hoops daft fan was in the city to watch his side take on Manchester City when he encountered a starving police horse. Luckily the Celtic supporter came to the horse's rescue by giving away his only cheeseburger to the distressed animal. The horse who cannot be named for legal reasons, was said to be "Hank Marvin" and fury erupted within animal rights groups when it transpired that the poor thing had been put on shift without any DINNER!

Sadelle Trott, President of the Society For Horses Right To Eat (SHRTE) insists attitudes to horses going on shift without a good feed has to change and blames the 2013 horse meat scandal for the neglect of horses. Sadelle blasted:

"It's utterly disgusting that a poor horse was sent out on duty without it's dinner, Too many times we are hearing stories like these and it has to stop! Thankfully this one had a happy ending thanks to the kindness of a generous Celtic fan but the outcome could easily have been so different. It's not the horse's fault some Humans are prejudicing against them because of the horse meat scandal"

Celtic fans will rightly feel proud that one of their own contributed in such a kind way and one onlooker described the scene as a "genuinely touching moment" Sources indicate the cheeseburger given away was not of the e-coli ridden, half cooked burger van variety but rather a quarter pounder with extra cheese and even relish from a nearby McDonalds. Celtic's charitable roots are well known and this latest act has done nothing to harm that view of the club.

In contrast the last Scottish side to play a European match in Manchester were Glasgow Rangers but the match ended in violence when their fans "couldny take it" and proceeded to turn the beautiful city into a bloodbath. Most of the fans witnessing the incredible gesture of the Celtic fan expressed surprise that they were nothing like the Rangers scum who caused as much damage to the city as the Nazi bombs of World War 2. The Celtic Site contacted the horse but he was unavailable for comment.

Celtic are currently galloping towards the Scottish Premier Division Title having already jousted Aberdeen away to win the Betfred League Cup. Traditional rivals Rangers died in 2012 but newco Rangers or Sevco are sitting second and desperately trying to reign in the runaway leaders. Fans expecting a photo finish could be disappointed when they see that Celtic are ahead by well more than a furlong.
